Great central location, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Secure parking provided, and the host even met us outside to guide us there. The family-run establishment has a breathtaking rooftop terrace with stunning views of the nearby fortress and surroundings. Delicious traditional meals prepared by their talented grandmother. Clean, organized, and plenty of outdoor space to relax.

Our stay at this family-run hostel was simply fantastic. The location was perfect, with the Old Town and Bazaar just a short walk away. The views from the terraces were breathtaking, offering stunning panoramic views of the city, mountains, and castle. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. The hosts were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The inclusive breakfast was delicious and the rooftop balcony was a great place to unwind.
Although there is no kitchen available, the hostel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, so it wasn't a major inconvenience.

I recently stayed at Friends' Guesthouse in Gjirokaster for a week and it was amazing. The family running this hostel is incredibly kind and helpful, even arranging my bus transport to Greece. The homemade food they offer, especially the breakfast and dinner, is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The beds are spacious and with curtains for added privacy. The hostel is always clean and the staff treats you like family. The view from the terrace is spectacular, with the old town, castle, and surrounding mountains.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The location of this place was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the old town. And despite being in such a central location, it was surprisingly quiet at night. Plus, the view from the terrace was simply breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.
One major drawback was the lack of a shared kitchen. The description mentioned one, but when I arrived, I was disappointed to find that there was no such facility.

The beds were comfortable and I loved having my own light and electricity socket for added privacy. The location of the guesthouse was perfect, being halfway between the new center and the old town/Bazaar. The staff were friendly and the hostel was clean, quiet, and air-conditioned. It was a great budget option for only €8 per night.
